Looking for?

The Shaping Future Governments: Global Universities Challenge is by invitation only and exclusive to select graduate students of public policy, government relations, political science, and business administration. Therefore, the Challenge targets participation from top graduate universities and schools from each continent.

As a participant in the Challenge, each student has been specifically selected to represent their institution. The student is therefore an ambassador of that institution and they are expected to demonstrate themselves in the highest standards of ethics and good conduct during the challenge.

Judging
Criteria:

The judging panel comprises high-level government officials and C-suite individuals from renowned corporations.

The judging criteria will be as follows:

  1. 40%Novelty and
    Innovation
  2. 25%for Impact and
    Comprehensiveness.
  3. 20%for Viability
    and Feasibility.
  4. 15%for Presentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

WHO WILL COVER THE FLIGHT AND ACCOMMODATION COSTS?

All flight and hotel expenses will be covered by the WGS team Students will be paired up for room bookings.

If you wish to book different dates for your flights, please indicate so on your registration form and you will be booked accordingly.

CAN I EXTEND MY STAY IN DUBAI, UAE?

You have the option to extend your stay at the same hotel through the WGS which will cost between 200$-300$ per night depending on the hotel rates. Alternatively, you can book their own accommodation separately.

WHO IS EXPECTED TO COMPLETE THE VISA REQUIREMENTS?

All visa requirements will be handled by the WGS Team – delays in completing the registration form will delay the visa completion process (please keep in mind that certain nationalities take longer than others for visa approval)

All visa requirements must be fulfilled before students are confirmed as part of the participating teams.

WHAT ARE WE EXPECTED TO BRING WITH US?

Each team is required to bring their university’s flag and suitable professional attire.

ARE WE ALLOWED TO CONNECT WITH THE FACULTY ON CAMPUS DURING THE CHALLENGE?

Participating students are allowed to connect with other professors/students back on campus in the Concept Formulization stage of the Challenge only.

HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE CHALLENGE?

Teams are defined as five students and one faculty member (optional)
